The Haras de Bourgeauville, a thoroughbred racing stud farm located 20 minutes from Deauville, fulfills all the conditions to receive the EquuRES Label at the commitment level.

🐴 The Haras de Bourgeauville does everything possible to ensure the well-being of their horses:
• The yearlings live outdoors and can enjoy large spaces in groups. A large straw-bedded barn is also provided so they can sleep warm and dry.
• The ground is stabilized at the entrance to the paddocks to allow the horses to have dry feet.
• Each horse benefits from personalized nutritional monitoring to meet the individual needs of each horse.
• Regular weighings are scheduled to monitor the body condition of the horses.
• The osteopath visits the site every month.
• To prevent health problems, the veterinarian often visits the premises and the horses benefit from regular monitoring.
• A staff member has received training in homeopathy.
• Good overall monitoring of the horses' health is established and rigorous protocols are set up for vaccination and deworming.

🌳 Respect for the environment is at the heart of the concerns of the Haras de Bourgeauville:
• There is no use of city water, a good wastewater management system and no watering of green spaces or the lunge ring.
• Good segmentation of electrical networks is put in place, allowing for a reduction in energy consumption.
• All feed for the horses' rations is sourced locally.
• Good waste sorting is practiced.
• On-site composting and valorization of manure.
• The soils are analyzed and the farmer implements a rotation of plots in order to optimize grass production and avoid having to use chemical inputs.
• Amendment of compost on meadows.
• The majority of the hay is produced on site.
